Pilote

We are looking for Pilote for our 8 Péniches-Hostel who cruise from March to October on the canal in different part of France.

They welcome between 8 and 12 passagers, all English speaking. We have both 30m x 5m and 39m x 5m barges each with 3 engines – a main 150hp engine and two 240kba generators.

Your Tasks:

• Drive the Peniche
• Daily clean up and small maintenance on the boat
• Pick up and Drop off of customers at the beginning and the end of the cruise
• Ensure of the security of the boat and the passengers during the navigation
• Check the différents level (oil, fuel, water...)

Our crew drop in for all the season in our peniche, where they are fed and housed.

The crew are central to the client’s enjoyment of their holiday and you will therefore need to be outgoing and able to communicate with, and entertain your passengers. For this you need to be friendly, communicative and presentable. Almost all clients will be English speaking and it is therefore imperative that you have good language skills. By the end of the season you will have met a good range of interesting people, built up good relationships and even friendships.
