Refrigeration Engineer

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines – a family run company well known for quality cruises on modestly sized vessels and for the personal touch we offer our guests, that are predominantly from the UK and many of whom return year after year.

We are currently looking to recruit experienced Refrigeration Engineer to work on board of our vessels. 

To be considered for this role, you would need to be: 

• qualified Refrigeration Engineer with previous shipboard experience as Refrigeration Engineer or Refrigeration Technician, preferably on cruise ships;
• experienced in Refrigeration Plant maintenance, operations checks, test of alarms and repair of equipment throughout the vessel;
• competent in all maintenance of the machinery plant for air conditioning, provision, pumps, refrigerators, ice machines, complete fan unit, air supply units in Passengers, crew cabins and public areas;
• responsible for a small team of refrigeration assistants and you will be on 24hr call out duties;
• able to work independently and as part of a team.

The Refrigeration Engineer works closely with passengers, and is therefore expected to be polite, courteous and presentable at all times.

HVAC qualification strongly preferred and STCW basic safety training certifications is mandatory.

Must possess the ability to read, write and speak English clearly and distinctly.
