IT Broadcast Officer / Cruise

PONANT cruises are currently searching for IT/BROADCAST Officer ready to to join their team.

Embarkation ASAP. Contract 4 months on / 2 months off . Salary in Euros/per month worked, will be advised to selected candidates only.

The Broadcast Manager:

• Must comply with orders and instructions received from the Chief Engineer in a professional and competent manner at all times. This may include duties not referred into the following card.
• Follows the Chief Engineer’s standing orders.
• Assists in the execution of maintenance as required by the BASS system / Maintenance Manual under the direction of the First Engineer.
• Records the maintenance operations & other appropriate jobs in BASS system.
• Updates his/her spare parts inventory, and suggest orders to Chief Engineer.
• Assists in maintaining all the broadcast areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Reports to the Chief Engineer / First Engineer any non-conformities or hazardous occurrences observed in the course of his duties.
• Ensure that all operational, safety, security & environmental objectives are met (EPI, pollution prevention, risk assessment, hazardous work permits…)
• Send to Chief Engineer a cruise job report at each end of cruise.
• Can be assisted in its duties by the Electronic Officer in coordination with the Chief Electrician.

The Broadcast Manager is in charge of the following material:

• Maintain the functioning and the good status of TVRO, media broadcasting, Streaming TV and Podcast TV.
• Maintain the functioning and the good status of pax, crew, and public area phones, PABX MITEL, rules of access and number assignment
• Maintain the functioning and the good status of NAPA system
• Maintain the functioning and the good status of TVRO Orbit antennas
• Maintain the functioning and the good status of VSAT Marlink antenna.
• Maintain the functioning and the good status of the Wifi System
• Maintain the functioning and the good status of data back up storage on Board - NAS
• Maintain the functioning and the good status of Security of all the network – Periodic update.
• Maintain the functioning and the good status of Streaming Front Camera ashore.
• Maintain and ensure the good status of the auxiliary systems (VOD, CCTV, VOIP, Internet, SPMS systems).
• Maintain the functioning and the good status of Bass Server.
• Maintain the functioning and the good status Of Fidelio Server and interface.
• Assist Passenger and staff for using properly all systems.
