Job Title: 1st Engineer Hotel Engineer

Department: Engine

Reports to: Staff Engineer

Embarkation in ASAP, contract 3 months +/-1 ( permanent position ), Salary in USD/per month worked.

Objective:

Work leader for all work that is carried out outside the engine room

Responsibilities:

• Coordination of plumbing and HVAC system outside Engine Room maintenance
• Coordination of air-conditioning system outside Engine Room maintenance
• Maintenance to include (but not limited to the following):
• Galley & pantry equipment
• All fixed fire-extinguishing system for Galleys
• Laundry machinery and equipment
• Black and Grey water system outside the Engine Room
• Deck machinery, mooring and anchor winches and deck cranes
• Life Boats and Tender Engines and propulsion system
• Swimming Pool and Jacuzzi machinery
• Sauna and Spa equipment
• Chlorine dosing equipment for fresh water and potable water system

Education/Experience

• Valid STCW Certifications
• Appropriate licences and certificates as required by regulations
• Extensive experience in similar or subordinate position on board ships and preferable experience with Wartsila engines
• Good knowledge of AMOS
• Fluent in English (verbal and written)
• Physically and medically fit
• Moral integrity required
• Public Health, Sanitation and Environmental training courses are appreciated
• Alaska experience is a plus
