A new spa operator at sea is seeking a Massage Therapist to join their team on board a UK cruise brand.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing consistent professional massages and treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted cruise line practices, properly caring for and maintaining equipment, as well as having complete knowledge and understanding of all spa offerings. Other responsibilities include, being flexible with their schedule, supporting the needs of the spa and maintaining a clean, well-organised, fully stocked massaging area.

The applicant will be expected to perform administrative duties in a complete, organised and accurate manner, communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa or fitness area that require attention. They will also have to actively promote the spa, treatments, services, seminars and retail, as well as programmes, promotions and discounts available, handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously, and provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests ensuring complete guest satisfaction.

If you are successful, you will also have to possess the ability to work without direct supervision, whilst maintaining a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment, and regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa.

A minimum of 1 year's experience in this role is necessary and cruise ship experience is desired.

Salary paid in GBP (£). Rotation is 8 months on, 2 months off. STCW certification and valid seafarer's medical are required.
