We have open positions for Doctors with a 5* American Cruise Line.

Job Summary
Provides a first class medical services to all Crew members and Guests, ready all time to assist any emergencies.
Supports the Staff Captain and Senior Doctor in all health-related matters at sea, general care of all crew members (preventative medicine and care of chronic conditions) including illness reporting and outbreak prevention; reporting necessary cases to different health authorities and ports. It is imperative to have skills and knowledge ensuring no outbreaks occur on the ship.

Essential Functions
Provides competent medical care and clinic procedures to crew members and guests as required.
Advise to the Master and Staff Captain on health matters and hygienic conditions onboard the vessel.
Works with a multidisciplinary team, willingly cooperate with each other in order to provide a top medical service.
Oversee inventory of medical supplies and monitors hospital budget accordance with regulations and Company policy. The Doctor and the medical team are responsible for the annual budgeting of the Medical Center’s. Makes sure that the medical supplies are well stock and with updated inventory.
Conserves a confidential relationship with the patients. However, if the Doctor suspects a serious contagious illness, he/she will report directly to the Staff Captain and shore side to the Director of Medical Operations.
Preserves a professional working atmosphere with colleagues and patients.
Participates in monthly safety meetings.
The Doctor shall have an understanding of the Safety and Quality Management System (SQM) and carry out the policies and procedures appropriate for his/her position.
Participates in inspections of the galley and food handling areas and provides expert assistance in regards to sanitation and compliance with USPH and CDC regulations or any other Public Health authorities

Requirements
Medical Degree from a recognized College or University is required.
Active, current medical license in good standing in Country or State/Province of origin is required.
Completion of a recognized Medical specialty training program at least one of the following: Emergency Medicine, General Practice, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, or General Surgery.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Paediatric Advanced Life Support and Adult Trauma Life Support valid certifications.

Three years minimum clinical experience in Acute Care setting.
One year practical experience in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
One year experience in diagnosing and treating a broad range of medical conditions, including experience performing minor surgery such as suturing, fractures, etc.
Intermediate to Advanced verbal and written level of English is required. additional languages are preferred.
Good physical conditions are required.

Required Documents upon Boarding
Medical School Diploma or equivalent, ACLS, PALS, ATLS and professional license certificates that are valid for the entire lengths of their contract. The Doctor is responsible to take the courses and tests that are necessary to keep these licenses valid along with any necessary post graduate credits.
