Pullmantur is currently seeking Ship Board Human Resources Manager to join our team.
The selected candidate will be in charge of organizational development and effectiveness, employee relations, training and development, performance management, conflict resolution, internal promotion, progressive discipline, employee turnover and retention, etc. Besides that, will provide assistance and support to all senior officers and onboard management when dealing with human resources issues, as the company’s point of contact in all matters pertaining human resources subjects.
This position requires availability to work on board during four months, and after that the candidate will be able to enjoy up to 2 months vacation before the next possible embarkation. This position also includes the vacation payment, which is fifteen days per month worked.
Potential candidates must have a minimum of five years experience in Human Resources management (recruitment, training, development), including team supervision. 3 years experience in employee relations experience preferably in a multi-cultural environment is another requirement. We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor degree or foreign equivalent in Human Resources, Business Administration or Psychology; and also advanced computer skills.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Serve as an ambassador of the Company, facilitates a culture of commitment to the company’s values, standards, operating philosophies and overall business strategy, also as a positive role model for crewmembers to emulate.
- Manage shipboard crew welfare by working closely with the crew administrator to ensure preparation and distribution of all pertinent information for all employee benefits, compensation and Human Resources policies.
- Coach all management on the methods of a consistent performance management processes.
- Ensure the performance management culture is driven through initiatives forested by the company.
- Conducts and manages brand standard and compliance training and development programs on an ongoing basis.
- Monitor the line expense of the vessel’s operational budget as they pertain to the Human Resources function, identify and implement expense.Mentors, develops and provides on-the-job training to the staff.
Hiring requirements:
- Bachelor degree or foreign equivalent in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years active experience in HR management (recruitment, training, development), including team supervision.HR seminars are valued.
- Ability to understand instructions and to execute them efficiently.
- Ability to read, write and speak English and Spanish clearly and distinctly.
- Portuguese and /or French language are desirable.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Ability to accommodate to a four months on / two months off contract schedule for this onboard position.
- Ability to adjust to, and to work in a multi national environment.
- A valid passport (minimum 1 year counting from the embarkation date).
- Have a valid Standards of Training, Certification & Watchkeeping (STCW) certificate.
- Ability to obtain the required visa, depending on the embarkation port.
- Pass Pullmantur pre-employment medical examination.
- Pass a criminal background check.Have a Seaman’s book (desirable).
- Ability to participate in emergency life-saving drills and required training.

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Cruise Ship.
