• Rank: 2nd Engineer
• Rotation: 5-weeks / 5 weeks off
• Salary: USD per month worked -to be discussed upon interview
• Embarkation date: March 2020
• CoC: Management CoC Unlimited / 2nd Eng. - STCW Reg.III/2 , well appraised sea service demonstrable in recent references
• Engine Type: 4 x Wartsila 8L26 - Diesel Electric Propulsion with Battery Pack
• Main Propulsion: 2 x INDAR EL, Motor ACP-1000 Z/8

Responsibility for:

• The keeping of Engine Room watches as required and identified by the Chief Engineer in accordance with the Safety Management Manual and Marine Operations Manual
• The composition of the watches is to be adequate and appropriate to the plant and machinery involved. For normal operating conditions the composition of the watches (at minimum) will be identified by the Chief Engineer.

• Making entries and maintaining a correct and up-to-date Engine Log Book, as applicable.
• Making entries and maintaining correct and up-to-date technical or waste related Log / Record Books (including but not limited to: Oil Record Book, Wastewaters discharge, Ozone Depleting Substances, Oil-to-Sea-Interfaces, Bilge/Sludge Transfer, Marine Fuel Sulphur etc Logs or Record Books), as applicable.
• Responsible for the safe and efficient repair and maintenance of the compressors.
• Responsible for the safe and efficient repair and maintenance of the evaporators.
• The safe and efficient repair, maintenance and operation of all machinery outside the main and auxiliary engine room spaces (e.g. all mechanical hotel equipment and services, plumbing, etc.).

• Advising the Chief Engineer and the Officer assigned onboard with Environmental Operations Duties if any of the above equipment has become defective and unable to be repaired.

Additional Duties

• Lubricating oil purifiers.
• M/E's Lube oil tests.
• Engine Room sprinkler system.
• Spare part requisitions and inventory for equipment under the above responsibilities.

• Ensure that planned maintenance assigned to their discipline is conducted and reported.
• Coach and train Junior Officers.
• Prepare appraisals for 'Direct Reports' in accordance with Company's policy.
• Partake in inspections, trainings and meetings as directed by the Head of Department.
• Other tasks pertaining to departmental operations as directed by Head of Department.

• Watertight Door System hydraulics.
• High fog system machinery and distribution in non-machinery spaces.
• Convention valves
