Entertainment onboard luxurious cruise ships.
We are looking for energetic, outgoing and social individuals, willing to travel, spend long periods of the year abroad and working fun but long hours as part of the entertainment team onboard luxurious cruise ships.
We require: Experience in entertainment activities or similar in hotel or touristic venues; fluency in English and two other languages among: French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian and Portuguese. It is obligatory to have following documents (or with no problem to obtain them): Valid Passport, STCW’s Basic Safety Training and Seaman’s Medical Certificate.
Cruise Activities Staff (entertainer and children's entertainer) is an entry-level position which is very intense in the hours and best suited to energetic, outgoing and very social individuals. They conduct and help organize fun and games activities as well as some comedy shows or theme-parties onboard. They receive their guests in the terminal during embarkation and greet them before they disembark in every port, they dance with guests, help them to be part of parties and costume events and undertake other responsibilities as directed by the cruise director department.
Social host/hostess is an entry-level position that is very intense in the hours and responsibilities onboard. Some of the responsibilities of the Social Host/ess aboard a multilingual cruise ship includes to be the person all his/her mother tongue-speaking guests get in touch with for any comments or questions regarding their cruise. The host/ess has to receive his/her guests in the terminal during embarkation, and once they embarked give a welcome speech and "travel talk" in a theater - usually for hundreds of guests a week. He/she also has to correct any texts within the daily program in his/her mother tongue and help with any necessary translations on printed or voice announcements aboard. Additionally, hosts are part of the farewell disembarkation process and undertake other responsibilities as directed by the cruise director department. The Host/ess has to be always presentable and visible and be able to socialize with all guests onboard, at evenings and constantly when the ship is at sea.
