Technical Superintendent

Hurtigruten Group – the world’s largest expedition cruise company – and BSM Cruise Services – an independent provider of quality ship management services, maritime solutions and technological advancements to the cruise, ferry and yacht industry – signed a letter of intent to form a Joint Venture which will most likely be based in Hamburg, Germany. This Joint Venture will manage the technical operations of Hurtigruten’s growing fleet of expedition cruise ships.

We are looking for talents who would like to go on this exciting journey with us and join us as Technical Superintendent.

You will be monitoring and controlling the safe, energy and cost-efficient technical operation of the assigned expedition cruise vessels within the defined parameters of cost, commercial viability and operational excellence in line with the owner’s expectations.

Requirements

• Experience in the cruise-industry is mandatory: You gained it either during your time on board in a technical senior position or in a similar shore position.
• Experience with expedition cruise ships is beneficiary.
• We are calling for a candidate with excellent communication skills and the ability to lead the on-board management teams (Captains and Chief Engineers) of the assigned vessels.
• You bring a strong customer focus and service mentality.
• Your excellent time management helps you prioritising the variety of tasks for you and the team on board.
• You enjoy collaboration with different kind of stakeholders and being a part of a dynamic and multi-cultural team of shipping professionals.
• Your advanced English language skills help you to build a strong connection to your colleagues.
