Crewmess/ Officers Area Attendant Urgent

Candidates will require their STCW safety training as well as up to date medicals.
Position to start asap.

THE ROLE:

Provide a friendly, efficient and courteous service within Crew and Officer Mess areas, serving food and beverages

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide friendly and efficient service to colleagues (our internal guests), leading to total guest and company satisfaction
• Responsible for the cleanliness, maintenance and upkeep of all mess area dining equipment, furniture, stations and vessel property
• Ensure all glasses, cutlery, crockery and other items required for dining are checked prior to use. To be responsibly minded for the breakage and loss or such items
• Lay up tables, side stations, side tables and displays according to company standards and instruction from supervisors. Ensure all table tops are cleaned before service
• Be familiar with all menu items, their preparation and service procedure
• To carry out all side jobs assigned by supervisors
• Assist other departments, when required, following instruction from Supervisor and Restaurant Manager
• To attend departmental meetings and trainings as required
• Follow Restaurant hygiene regulations in line with Public Health standards
• Any other duties as reasonably requested by Supervisor and Restaurant Manager

Requirements

KEY ATTRIBUTES:

• Previous shipboard or restaurant experience in similar position
• Fluent in English – must have excellent oral communication skills
• Flexibility – must be able to work various times of the day, remain calm under pressure and have a can-do attitude
• Guest and service focused with a positive personality and professional appearance
• Ability to carry full trays and be on feet for long periods of time
