Opportunity for an experienced HR generalist to join Australia’s most iconic cruise line!

As our People and Performance Manager, you will partner with senior and executive officers, along with onboard management, in managing day to day HR issues and executing HR initiatives driven by P&O Cruises Australia’s shoreside operations.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Embracing and driving all company and “Proud” values.
- Driving employee engagement and satisfaction.
- Crew communication and welfare, including consistently monitoring Hours of Rest guidelines for compliance (and addressing non-compliance).
- Employee relations and conflict resolution, including performance management and disciplinary procedures.
- Employee promotions and transfers.
- New hire/exit interviews.
- Employee attrition assessment.
- Day to day HR administration and reporting.
Successful candidates will bring experience in a HR generalist position, preferably from within a sizeable multicultural hospitality company (cruise ship experience is highly desired), and display a commitment to driving employee welfare and a positive culture, along with very strong relationship building ability and interpersonal skills, great communication skills and the ability to thrive in a team environment.
Contracts are typically for four months duration with two months’ leave in between assignments. Flights, transfers, accommodation, main meals and uniforms are all supplied by the company in addition to the monthly salary.

Work Experience Requirements
All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Cruise Ship, in a 4/5* Hotel or in an Upscale Restaurant.
Language Requirements
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
