Asst IT Officer

We are looking for Asst IT Officer to work on Cruise Ships

An Assistant IT Officer provides technical support for users, performs routine system maintenance, and assists in managing an organization's IT infrastructure under the supervision of a senior officer on board.

Key responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware and software issues, performing data backups, installing and updating software, monitoring system performance, and maintaining inventory and security.
Key responsibilities
Technical support: Provide first-line support to end-users for hardware, software, and network problems. This can include resolving issues with PCs, printers, and mobile devices.
System maintenance: Perform daily maintenance tasks like checking logs, verifying backups, and ensuring systems are running at optimal performance.
Hardware and software management: Install, upgrade, and maintain computer hardware, software, and operating systems. This also includes managing inventory and assets.
Security and updates: Apply security patches and updates to all systems, and assist with managing antivirus programs to ensure the network's security.
User training: Train staff on new technologies and how to use the organization's IT systems effectively.
Problem-solving: Respond promptly to support requests, troubleshoot technical issues, and help develop contingency plans for system disruptions.
Vendor communication: Communicate with vendors to negotiate contracts for IT supplies and services.

We preferer candidates with ship experience !!!
