Youth Coordinator for Silversea Cruises

V.Ships Leisure is looking for Youth Coordinator on behalf of Silversea Cruises.
Responsible for delivering high quality, individualized and technically excellent entertainment services for guests whilst complying with any Company Policies and towards a goal of achieving total guest satisfaction. Reporting to the Cruise Director and Assistant Cruise Director.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensures a friendly, jovial and positive attitude with children/teens and guests at all times.
• Ensures the safety and supervision of all children and teens participating in activities.
• Interacts with children, teens and guests as fits the occasion maintaining guest satisfaction at all times. This includes, but is not limited to hosting parties, trivia, games, karaoke, shore excursions and other related activities.
• Designs creative activities, implementing entertaining and educational programs for all ages.
• Demonstrates genuine concern for the children/teens well-being at all times.
• Organizes and leads youth activities in the designated activity center and throughout the vessel.
• Staffs the International Desk to assist International guests if required. 
• Hosts tables in the dining room on most evenings with special care given to dining with children.
• Attends the Welcome/First Timers/Venetian/Farewell Cocktail parties and other social events as scheduled by the ship’s management.
• Embarkation and disembarkation duties in cooperation with the Guest Relations Manager and Shore Concierge Manager.
• Proactively responds to issues or potential problems quickly and efficiently involving relevant people as  required. Communicates any challenges, complaints or service  difficulties to immediate supervisor. Keeping the Cruise Director promptly and fully informed of all problems and matters of significance. 
• Socializes with guests when in public rooms.
• Assists with the induction of new crew.
• Adjusts schedule and location independently when the overall daily operation changes.
• Incorporates Company service standards, personalized service and sincere hospitality by creating positive experiences for guests, efficiently engaging with guests and anticipating guest needs. 
• Performs all other duties as requested by supervisor.
• Participates in crew and passenger safety drills according to instructions. 
• Always  complies  with  the  Company’s  safety  and  pollution  prevention  regulations  and  operating procedures.
• Participates in all mandatory training. 
• Leads by example by taking care of Health and Safety of self and others. 

Education/Experience/Qualifications:

• Valid STCW certification.
• Early Childhood Educational Diploma, CPR and First Aid Certificate.
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Education/Recreation preferred.
• 3-5 years’ experience at international 5-star establishment.
• Strong organizational and people skills.
• Creative background.
• Physically and medically fit.
• Moral integrity is required.
• Excellent fluent English (verbal and written). English is the working and safety language on board Silversea vessels. This also includes the ability to give and receive instructions in verbal and written forms and to effectively and  efficiently engage with  guests and crew  members.  Preferably two additional languages (German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese). 
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications and Quark.
