Bar Waiter for Orient Express Sailing Yachts

V.Ships Leisure is looking for Bar Waiter on behalf of Orient Express Sailing Yachts.
The Bar Waiter pro-actively engages with guests, assists the bartender in preparing beverage orders and delivers them in respect of Orient Express service standards. Delivers technically proficient, efficient and personalized Luxury beverage service in bar venues and special events. Maintains and demonstrates complete knowledge of Food & Beverage menus and service standards as well as USPH guidelines. Provides personalized service for guests and creates a work environment of teamwork. The Bartender provides exceptional service to each individual guest and to achieve the maximum revenue in the assigned outlet. Must supervise the entire assigned lounge and bar. A Bartender plays an integral part in the overall guest satisfaction and experience provided by the set company standards. 

Key Responsibilities

• Provides luxury beverage and canapés service to guests in a courteous and professional manner according to Orient Express standards.
• Anticipates and responds to the needs of guests by ensuring all supplies are readily available before and during service, maintaining a clean, safe and accident-free environment.
• Setup, cleaning, and break-down of bar venues and pantries. Maintaining equipment, supplies, goods and all work areas, reporting any issues to the management. Optimizes bar inventories through proper inventory management.
• Proactively seeks information on expected business volume and coordinates with colleagues to ensure appropriate materials are prepared.
• Adheres to sanitation plan throughout all venues and proper preparation for internal and official Health and Cleanliness Inspections.
• Ensures Compliance with Public Health and all Safety and Labor Regulations.
• Is proactive and displays good communication with leadership and between outlets in order to ensure guest services are not impacted.
• Maintains an extensive knowledge of all menus. Be aware of all outlets and services offered in order to assist and direct our guests.
• Fosters premium bar sales through pro-active upselling.
• Enforces adherence to the drinking age policy. 

Education/Experience/Qualifications:

• Languages: Fluent English plus one additional international language required (French, German, Spanish, Mandarin).
• Education: High school degree or related. Hospitality training appreciated.
• Previous professional experience: 2 years as Bar Waiter in a luxury environment.
• Shipboard experience: Not required but preferred.
• Valid STCW certificates. 
• Valid Pre-Employment Medical.
• C1D visa mandatory for all positions.
