Description
Department – Food & Beverage (Galley)
Accommodation – Shared
Contract duration – 6–8 months

Main Function
To ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance of all galley areas and equipment in accordance with company standards and international sanitation regulations.

Qualifications

  • Completion of at least elementary and middle school (8th grade or higher)
  • Previous experience or training in hospitality or kitchen cleaning is a plus
  • Food Safety/HACCP certification required
  • Basic knowledge of food safety standards
  • Must possess a valid passport and seaman’s book
  • Fluent in oral and written English (minimum A2 level); additional languages are a plus

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of all galley areas as per the daily and deep-cleaning schedules
  • Operate cleaning machinery and use authorized cleaning chemicals as trained
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and maintenance of all cleaning tools and equipment
  • Support the galley team during provision loading as directed
  • Follow all United States Public Health (USPH) rules and safety regulations
  • Apply food safety and hygiene practices in all cleaning operations
  • Be aware of and comply with fire, safety, and security procedures on board
  • Participate in onboard training to enhance skills and prepare for future promotions
