Tour Expert – International Cruise Ships

• Location: Onboard international cruise ships (various global destinations)
• Contract Type: Fixed-term (approximately 5 months +/- 1 month)
• Start Date: Upon completion of required onboarding and training
• Working Hours: Full-time, shift-based (8–11 hours daily, including weekends)
• Accommodation and Meals: Shared cabin onboard, all meals included
• Travel: Transportation to and from the ship covered by the employer
• Salary: €1,750 gross per month + €518 performance bonus (Total: €2,268 gross/month including allowances)

Job Description

As a Tour Expert, you will be responsible for promoting and selling destination tours and excursions to guests onboard, assisting during onshore activities, and ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote and sell excursion packages in line with revenue targets
• Assist during excursions with logistics, coordination, and guest support
• Prepare necessary materials (tickets, maps, stickers, etc.) before tours
• Report guest feedback, requests, and interests to the Tour Manager
• Provide language translation support during excursions if required
• Ensure guest compliance with safety procedures during tours
• Support injured or ill guests during excursions according to company protocols

Candidate Requirements:

• High school diploma in Tourism, Languages, or related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• Previous sales experience required; tour operations experience is an advantage
• Fluency in English and Italian (spoken and written)
• Fluency in either German or French (required)
• Knowledge of an additional language (Spanish, Portuguese, or Chinese) is an asset
• Confident user of Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
• Availability to live and work onboard for the full contract period
• Willingness to complete mandatory STCW safety training (approx. 10 days in your passport country)

Employment Conditions
