Active Shore Excursion Expert needed for 4* German brand!
  • Professional advising and selling of active excursions (bike, e-scooter, golf, diving), as well as consulting and selling conventional shore excursions.
  • Professional preparation and follow-up of active excursions, including contribution to destination reports and daily logs.
  • Professional execution and independent conducting of bike and e-scooter excursions in accordance with TUI Cruises guidelines. The position holder is responsible for the well-being and safety of guests during these excursions.
  • Professional organization, execution, support, and follow-up of golf and diving excursions.
  • Providing and ensuring first aid measures during excursions, when necessary.
  • Handling guest complaints and serving as a host.
  • Preparation and participation in informational events and presentations, including active excursion meetings, golf and/or diving meet-ups, and, if necessary, traditional shore excursion presentations.
  • Ensuring the functionality and operation of pedal-assist equipment, if available.
  • Reporting any conflicts or disruptions in the workflow to the Shore Activities Manager
  • Mandatory attendance at meetings, as well as information and public events and trainings of all kinds.
  • Strict confidentiality regarding onboard matters and strict compliance with data protection regulations
  • Maintenance, cleaning, and repair of bicycles, e-scooters, golf equipment, and other work materials
  • Proactive sales of additional items and active participation in cross-selling activities, such as logo merchandise
  • Preparation of inventories and sales reports. -  General and specific office tasks of various kinds as instructed.
    - During handover periods and shipyard stays, additional but reasonable tasks may be assigned.
    -  Responsible handling of all company property and assigned tasks (the position holder may be held liable in cases of gross negligence).
    - Independent tracking of working hours using Adonis (crew management system).
    - Knowledge of assigned safety number (from ship statutes) and emergency duties.
    - Compliance with shipboard rules and safety regulations, including participation in safety drills, guest mustering, and other safety-related events.
    - Wearing the appropriate (clean) uniform during required times.
    - If necessary, accompanying and possibly leading regular shore excursions.
    - Translating from English to German during shore excursions when local guides have insufficient German skills.
    - Assisting with embarkation and disembarkation on passenger turnaround days, as well as supporting other so-called side duties.
    - Compliance with onboard waste management protocols to protect the environment, including documentation as per guidelines. Furthermore, the position holder is obligated, upon instruction by their supervisor, to carry out additional tasks that are related in nature to their position or arise due to operational necessities.

    Qualification / Professional Experience
  • Affinity for sports is an advantage.
  • Experience in leading groups, group sports, group supervision, etc.
  • Basic technical and mechanical understanding.
  • First Aid certification (not older than two years).
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of road traffic regulations.
  • Good German and English (spoken and written); additional language skills are an advantage.
  • Ideally, experience in complaint management.
  • A passion for working in service-oriented roles.
  • Basic IT skills, preferably in MS Office.
  • Good general education.
  • Experience in golf and diving is desirable.
  • Special requirement for diving destinations: Diving experience (at least Rescue Diver certified – PADI, SSI, CMAS, etc.) and DAN certifications are an advantage. Required Attributes

    Responsible for the workflow in the assigned area of the Shore Excursions department.
     

  • Work Experience Requirements

    All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Cruise Ship, in a 4/5* Hotel or in an Upscale Restaurant.

    Language Requirements

    Good knowledge of the English language is required.
