Travelling Shop Manager – Onboard International Cruise Ships

Location: Onboard international cruise ships (travelling role across multiple vessels)
Contract: Fixed-term (5 months +/- 1 month)
Start Date: To be determined (after mandatory STCW training)
Salary: €2,773/month base + €1,350/month bonus + €11 gross/day of navigation
Accommodation: Single cabin with full board provided
Travel Expenses: Covered by the employer

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Travelling Shop Manager to oversee daily retail operations onboard our international cruise ships. The role involves leading a multicultural retail team, ensuring excellent guest shopping experiences, achieving sales targets, and maintaining high operational standards. Responsibilities include:

Managing and optimizing onboard shop performance, stock, and visual merchandising

Leading and supervising attendants, specialists, and supervisors

Supporting the Shop Manager and Sales Director in delivering exceptional service

Promoting a positive team culture focused on engagement and results

Acting as a liaison between onboard and shoreside teams

Gathering operational data, compiling reports, and applying data-driven decision-making

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of retail experience as a Shop Manager or Area Manager

Proven leadership and team management skills

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

Hands-on, organized, and results-oriented approach

Knowledge of retail KPIs, customer service, and visual merchandising

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS systems

English fluency (B2 or higher); additional languages a plus

Availability to live and work onboard for extended periods (5-month contract)

Willingness to complete mandatory STCW safety training (approx. 10 days)
