Financial Officer for Exploris Cruises

V.Ships Leisure is looking for Financial officer/Chief Purser for Exploris One cruise vessel.

The Financial Officer on board the Exploris One cruise ship plays a central role in managing the administrative and financial matters related to the crew. Reporting to the Hotel Director, the Financial Officer is responsible for liaising with shoreside authorities, processing crew payroll through manning agencies, and ensuring proper handling of all crew documentation to guarantee smooth administrative operations onboard. 
 

Key Responsibilities

Liaison with Shoreside Authorities:
• Serve as the primary contact for port agents and local authorities.• Coordinate with authorities during port calls to ensure regulatory compliance.
Crew Payroll Management:
• Prepare and manage crew payroll in collaboration with manning agencies.
• Verify the accuracy of salary calculations and address payroll-related inquiries.
• Handle salary advance requests.
Crew Documentation Management:
• Oversee administrative records for crew members (contracts, visas, IDs).
• Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and flag state requirements.
Crew Welfare:
• Address administrative and payroll concerns raised by crew members.
• Collaborate with the Hotel Director to implement welfare initiatives for the crew.
Financial Transactions:
• Manage financial transactions related to crew accounts and payroll.
• Work closely with onboard and shoreside finance teams for reconciliation.
Crisis Management:
• Develop and implement crisis management plans related to crew matters.
• Ensure effective communication with authorities in emergency situations.
Quality Control:
• Establish and maintain quality standards for document and process management.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Relations with Manning Agencies:
• Maintain clear and constructive communication with manning agencies.
• Coordinate administrative tasks and resolve any crew-related issues.
Reporting and Follow-up:
• Prepare reports on payroll, documentation status, and administrative matters.
• Share regular updates with the Hotel Director and other relevant departments.
Interdepartmental Collaboration:
• Work closely with all departments onboard to ensure effective coordination.• Maintain constant contact with the Hotel Director, Shoreside Finance, and the Captain. 
 

Education/Experience/Qualifications:

 Relevant experience in a similar capacity on a luxury cruise vessel.
