Global Gallery Manager duties:
- Open and staff the Gallery, both scheduled shifts and additional opportunities that are most convenient for guests;
-  Provide exceptional service and assistance to guests with all transactions;
- Create, maintain, and rotate merchandising displays daily in the Gallery and in display cases throughout the ship;
- Track and maintain all inventories for the store;
- Compile and submit sales reports for each voyage;
- Identify and communicate sales trends to Hotel Manager and Director of Artisan Development;
- Make local purchases as directed by the Director of Artisan Development;
- Deliver presentations in front of large groups of people;
- Organize informal talks and events to promote the sales of Gallery items;
- Dine with the guests on a regular basis.

Receptionist duties:
 
- Provide excellent personalized customer service skills, including active listening and effective communication to engage with guests and provide passengers with prompt, friendly and personalized service throughout the cruise.
- Ensuring that all passenger requests, inquiries and concerns are responded to promptly and followed up on with the appropriate party.
- Keeps the Chief Purser and Hotel Manager promptly and fully informed of all serious problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/her attention so prompt corrective action can be taken.
-  Assisting in preparing passenger paperwork; billing and credit card registration.
-  Assisting in preparing crew embarkation and disembarkation documentation
-  Maintains reception area to ensure that it is presentable, clean and orderly at all times
- Maintains security of reception area by limiting access to authorized personnel
- General administration tasks including hosted table invites; door tags; name tag printing etc
-  Maintains and administers all reports and logs held at the Reception Desk, such as MXP maintenance recordkeeping; record of lost and found items.
-  Assisting in preparing documentation required to ensure ship’s clearances in ports.
-  Assisting during ship's clearances.
-  Operating the POS system onboard and charging passenger and crew accounts.
-  Preparing preliminary and final statements for passengers; staff and crew
-  Maintaining cash float for the Reception Desk.
-  Assisting with crew sign offs and crew sign ons.
-  Assisting with passenger embarkation and debarkation process.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Have experience on luxury expedition vessels
- Good at working independently and handling guests demands
- Good at handling stress
- Excellent command of English language
- Good sense for details and good order
- Good office computer skills
- Have a pleasant disposition (deals direct with passengers)
- 2+ years retail experience required, high end merchandise preferred. Fine jewellery retail experience strongly preferred.
- Merchandising/display experience, and interest in international artisan craft strongly preferred.
- Presentation and event planning skills strongly preferred.
