1st engineer

Duties include (but not limited to):

1. Maintenance of engine equipment which cannot be performed by the watches
due to Engine Room Resource Management. Supported by the Maintenance and
Workshop Technician in coordination with the Staff Engineer

2. Compliance with Engine Room Resource Management standards of the company

3. Maintain good communication with and reporting to all relevant stakeholders

4. Participating the daily engine officer’s morning meeting

5. Enforcement of HESS-MS regulations in his/her area of responsibility; to conduct
or delegate relevant training

6. Relevant entries into logbooks as per legislation and the requirements of the
Company

7. Comply with QMS (Quality Management System) and LMS (Learning
Management System) requirements

8. Plans/ evaluates and surveys dry docks and external repair/ service activities

9. Supports an effective and sustainable health and safety culture and environment on board, follows
strictly HESS regulations and any Health and Safety Protocols in force to prevent the spread of
diseases on board and reports to the Head of Department any observed violations of the Company's
health procedures.
