Youth Counselor -Cruise Ship

Position Summary

The Youth Counselor supports the onboard youth program, delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities for children and teens (ages 3–17). Working under the guidance of the Youth Program Manager, this role helps execute daily youth programming, including family activities, toddler time, babysitting, and special events. The Youth Counselor ensures all activities are safe, well-organized, and compliant with health, safety, and operational guidelines.

This role requires an energetic, outgoing individual with a passion for working with children, delivering personalized service, and creating memorable experiences while maintaining a safe and structured environment.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and engage children during youth activities, ensuring safety and well-being at all times

Assist with boarding procedures, emergency protocols, and child check-in/check-out

Prepare and lead activities in art, recreation, culinary, and STEM

Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and health standards

Support family programming, holiday events, and special activations

Promote youth activities to guests and encourage participation

Attend required meetings and training sessions

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in education, recreation, or a related field

3–5 years’ experience working with children or youth programs (ages 3–17)

Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills

Energetic, positive personality with the ability to engage large groups

CPR/First Aid certification for infants and children preferred

Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
