Sanitation Engineer

Reports to Facility Manager.
Responsible for the care and maintenance of the potable water chlorination system and recreational water facilities including proper recording and charts archive.
• Good knowledge of USPH requirements which apply to his scope of work.
• General knowledge skills applicable to the various systems on board vessels.
• Capable of calibrating, monitors, start up, and shut down of water systems safely.
• Ability to coordinate projects, assigns priorities, resolve issues and work without supervision.
• Working knowledge of computers and ability to navigate within variates of software packages such as excel, word and power point.
• Excellent communication skills.
Operation Effectiveness:
• Partners with supervisors and subordinates to understand and comply with the company’s environmental policies and is committed to safeguarding the environmental.
• Tests the potable water system to the sanitation standards as defined by USPH and Company regulations. By them “potable water system” we cover all bunkering, storing and distribution arrangements of portable water including the spas and pools.
• Monitor levels of consumable chemicals and orders all chemical equipment (pumps, lines, tank levels) and chemical (chlorine) local and remote.
• Ensures vital monitors for PH compliance must have back up or spare
• Employee may be required to perform other job-related duties assigned by their supervisor, management or the Chief Engineer.
