Job Summary:

The Assistant Photo Manager supports the Photo Manager in leading the ship’s photography department, ensuring high-quality photo services and excellent guest satisfaction. This role involves managing daily operations, supervising the photo team, and maximizing photo sales.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Photo Manager in overseeing the onboard photography department, including studios, photo galleries, and retail areas.
• Supervise, train, and motivate the photography team to deliver high-quality images and exceptional guest service.
• Ensure that all photo products meet MSC Cruises’ quality standards.
• Support in organizing photo shoots, events, and promotional activities.
• Manage inventory, merchandising, and photo gallery presentation.
• Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints professionally and efficiently.
• Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue.
• Assist in scheduling staff, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering team development.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations within the department.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in photography management or a similar role, preferably on cruise ships or in the hospitality industry.
• Proficiency in photography techniques, equipment, and photo editing software.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Sales and customer service experience.
• Fluency in English (additional languages are an asset).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
• Willingness to work onboard for extended periods.
