Activity Host for Silversea Cruises

V.Ships Leisure is looking for Activity Host on behalf of Silversea Cruises.

Responsible for delivering high quality, individualized and technically excellent entertainment services for guests whilst complying with any Company Policies and towards a goal of achieving total guest satisfaction. 

Key Responsibilities

• Ensures a friendly, jovial and positive attitude with children/teens and guests at all times.
• Ensures the safety and supervision of all children and teens participating in activities.
• Interacts with children, teens and guests maintaining guest satisfaction at all times. This includes, butis not limited to hosting parties, trivia, games, karaoke, shore excursions and other related activities.
• Designs creative activities, implementing entertaining and educational programs for all ages.
• Demonstrates genuine concern for children/teens well-being at all times.
• Organizes and leads youth activities in the designated activity center and throughout the vessel.7. Provides daily briefing to all guests and in particular to non-English speaking guests regarding activities on board.
• Staffs the International Desk to assist International guests if needed.
• Assists the International Host(ess) in translating the Silversea Chronicles and menu items.
• Hosts tables in the dining room on most evenings with special care given to dining with children, different guests, and especially guests traveling solo.
• Attends Welcome/First Timers/Venetian/Farewell Cocktail parties and other social events as scheduled by the ship’s management.
• Embarkation and disembarkation duties in cooperation with the Guest Relations Manager and Shore Concierge Manager.
• Assists with the induction and training of new crew.
• Proactively responds to issues or potential problems quickly and efficiently involving relevant people as required. Communicates any challenges, complaints or service difficulties to immediate supervisor. Keeping the Cruise Director promptly and fully informed of all problems and matters of significance.
• Socializes with guests when in public rooms.16. Adjusts the schedule and location independently when the overall daily operation changes.17. Incorporates Company service standards, personalized service and sincere hospitality by creatingpositive experiences for guests, efficiently engaging with guests and anticipating guest needs.18. Performs all other duties as requested by supervisor. 

Education/Experience/Qualifications:

• Valid STCW certification.
• Early childhood educational diploma.
• First aid certification.
• Minimum 3-5 years experience in a similar position in the entertainment industry within a international 5 star establishment.
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred.6. Physically and medically fit.
• Moral integrity is required.
