Assistant Food & Beverage Manager – Bar

As an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager – Bar, you will support the Beverage Operations Manager in overseeing all bar operations on board. You’ll ensure high-quality beverage service, achieve financial targets, and foster a positive, motivated team environment that delivers memorable guest experiences.

This is a high-energy role where no two days are the same. You’ll be a visible leader, interacting with guests daily and playing a key role in delivering an outstanding onboard experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure all bar operations follow company standards and procedures
Maintain high grooming and uniform standards across the team
Oversee service to ensure staff are knowledgeable, professional, and compliant with safety and service standards
Supervise bar setup for private events and ensure readiness ahead of opening
Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and coordinate timely ordering of supplies
Conduct weekly inventory checks and manage beverage cost control
Support recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management of team members
Maintain bar quality, service standards, and budget performance
Oversee special functions and ensure all documentation is completed accurately and on time
Ensure staff are trained on POS systems and operational equipment
Assist with crew engagement activities and events
Uphold environmental, safety, and compliance standards at all times
Participate in safety drills and training as required
Perform additional duties as assigned by management


Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience in a bar or nightclub environment
Previous cruise ship experience with multiple bar outlets preferred
Fluent in English
Strong leadership and team motivation skills
Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
Proactive, positive, and solution-oriented mindset
Minimum age: 21 years



Work Experience Requirements

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Cruise Ship, in a 4/5* Hotel or in an Upscale Restaurant.
