Scope of Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide front-desk reception services, assisting passengers and responding to enquiries.
  • Maintain reception desk availability during assigned hours.
  • Operate the ship’s Souvenir Boutique, including sales, inventory control, and ordering.
  • Handle currency exchange transactions in accordance with company procedures.
  • Issue and manage crew uniforms as directed.
  • Complete administrative paperwork as instructed by the Purser.
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies and the Garbage Management Plan.
  • Support other departments and undertake additional duties as assigned by Hotel Management, including restaurant service when required.

Authorities & Reporting

  • Works under the guidance and instruction of the Purser.
  • Reports to Hotel Management.
  • May be reassigned to other duties as operational needs require.

Emergency Duties

  • Passenger Assembly (PAC): Stand by aft stairway (Lido Deck) and direct passengers to Muster Stations.
  • Fire: Assigned to starboard side lines as directed (Mizzen Mast).
  • Abandon Ship: Assist passengers as directed.
  • Man Overboard / Collision & Flooding: N/A

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Hotel-Reception experience.
  • German / English speaking
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft programmes require
  • Previous experience with Fidelio would be beneficial

 

Language Requirements

Good knowledge of the German language is required.
