Deckhand - Luxury Mega Yacht

Overview

We are seeking a professional and highly motivated Deckhand to join an ultra-luxury mega yacht operating globally. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high-performing deck team on a prestigious vessel, delivering exceptional standards in both operational performance and guest experience.

The successful candidate will be an experienced deckhand with a strong foundation in seamanship, safety awareness, and yacht presentation. You will play a key role in supporting day-to-day deck operations while maintaining the highest levels of discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail expected within the ultra-luxury yacht sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with all deck operations including mooring, anchoring, towing, and watchkeeping duties
• Maintain the exterior of the vessel to immaculate standards, including cleaning, polishing, and preservation tasks
• Support bridge operations as required, including lookout duties and navigational assistance
• Operate and assist with the maintenance of tenders and deck equipment
• Participate in safety drills and ensure full compliance with onboard safety management systems
• Assist with water sports and guest activities where required
• Ensure all deck stores, equipment, and tools are properly maintained and accounted for
• Work collaboratively with the wider crew to deliver a seamless onboard experience

Candidate Profile

• Holds a valid Able Seaman (AB) certification (STCW compliant)
• Proven experience working as a deckhand or AB on yachts or large passenger vessels
• Strong seamanship skills with a solid understanding of deck operations and safety procedures
• High attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintenance and upkeep
• Professional, well-presented, and capable of operating in a guest-facing environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multicultural team
• Physically fit and able to meet the demands of a hands-on role

Essential Requirements:

• Valid STCW certification (including Advanced Fire Fighting)
• Valid Seafarer Medical 
• Vali Schengen Visa
• Passport with sufficient validity for international travel

Highly Desirable:

• Valid US Visa (strongly preferred due to operational itinerary)
• Proven tender driving experience
• Previous experience on ultra-luxury yachts or cruise vessels
