As a Shipboard Design Manager, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our guests' onboard experience through effective management and delivery of all print and digital media communications.


Essential Functions:

  • Lead the development of shipboard guest-facing communications and revenue touchpoints through printed and digital marketing material, ensuring touchpoints consistently deliver on-brand vision, business goals and creative guidelines.
  • Collaborate with revenue and department leadership to understand communication and marketing needs and coordinate with Shoreside Creative Team on the creative development of new project requests.
  • Cruise News: daily content development, layout and preparation of print files; work with department heads for content requirements.
  • Design eye-catching and effective promotional materials to support guest communication and revenue goals, including flyers, banners, and printed and digital signage.
  • Ensure all designs align with brand guidelines and maintain a consistent visual identity across all platforms and materials.
  • This is a minimal description of duties. Other work requirements may be necessary and assigned as business or maritime law dictates.


Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, or related field.
• Certification in Digital Marketing or Design Software (Adobe Creative Suite) preferred.


Experience:
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in marketing, graphic design, or content development.
• Experience creating print and digital marketing materials aligned with brand guidelines.
• Previous experience in hospitality, cruise industry, or guest-facing environments is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong understanding of branding principles and visual identity standards.
• Knowledge of marketing strategies, guest engagement, and revenue optimization.
• Familiarity with design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and digital signage platforms.
• Understanding of print production processes and digital content management.
• Excellent design and layout skills for creating eye-catching promotional materials.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for developing guest-facing content.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to translate business goals into visually compelling marketing materials.
• Ability to maintain brand consistency across all communication touchpoints.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and onboard operational needs.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with multiple stakeholders.


Language Requirements:

  • Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly and cordially with guests and crew.
  • Ability to understand instructions given in English during emergency life saving procedures and drills.
  • Ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures.
  • This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, supervisors and coworkers.
  • Ability to speak additional languages such as Spanish, French or German preferred.
