As a Financial Specialist, you will be responsible for providing assistance, support and cooperate with Chief Financial Accountant to maintain the operations of onboard accounts, ensuring smooth and successful operations.
Essential Functions:
• Responsible for opening and setting up the credit desk, collecting passenger’s balances with the float and answering passenger inquiries to best provide them with accurate information.
• Responsible for remaining accounts, discrepancy charges and bad debt.
• Responsible for changing data that has been approved by Pier Supervisor, such as adding on passengers, cabin changes, name changes, and issuing new cards.
• Responsible for collecting the cash from purser on duty and posting it to Fidelio.
• Responsible for account routing by ensuring that the correct credit card was swiped to the correct cardholder, clear account routing, and double checking the credit card application form.
• Ensure the ship obtains the return file from GCS and manually calling for approval for credit cards that have been declined. Prepare and send notices to guests that have problem credit cards or whose accounts that have exceeded their cash deposit.
• Post gratuities and assist the Financial Accountant and Chief Financial Accountant when needed.
• Responsible for balancing checks every day, responsible for any missing checks, ensure Staff & Officer signatures appear on checks and handle any discrepancy charges. Provide information on the allowance of sign-on and sign off officers, prepare and send allowance information to Officers every 4 cruises.
• Responsible for balancing officer and staff checks at the end of the month and prepare a summary report.
• Responsible for balancing store purchases by officers and staff at the end of the month with the Bar department reports.
• Collect the cash from the Crew Purser and post to Fidelio for Radio Communication Charges for Staff.
• Prepare end-of-the-month MTM reports for use of administration lines with a list of all outgoing calls including the person and reason for the call.
• Make sure the money from the boxes and slots has been counted from the Casino, all discrepancies must be settled on the spot.
• Responsible onboard activities that are paid in cash to ensure all figures balance with the number of tickets sold and the float.
• Responsible for their area’s safety, cleanliness and operation.
• Attend all department meetings.
• Mandatory attendance at all assigned shipboard drills and emergency activities.
• Create and implement ideas that will generate/increase revenue and/or reduce costs for the company.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Finance, Accounting, or Hospitality preferred.
• Previous experience in financial operations, guest services, or cruise ship accounting highly desirable.
Experience:
• Managed credit desk operations including opening, setup, and passenger account handling.
• Handled remaining accounts, discrepancy charges, and bad debt resolution.
• Balanced daily checks, officer/staff allowances, and store purchases; prepared monthly summary reports.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Strong understanding of financial operations, including cash handling, account reconciliation, and credit card processing.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Proficiency in data entry and accuracy in posting transactions
Language Requirements:
• Proficient in English
• Ability to speak additional languages such as Spanish, French or German preferred.

As Inventory Controller, you will be in charge of managing the onboard Inventory Management System using Navision Software for Hotel and AMOS for Deck and Engine. Ultimately responsible and accountable for data integrity in regards of all shipboard inventories. Inventory Controller audits all Invoices and Requisitions of incoming and outgoing products to and from Main Storerooms.
The major thrust of the position is to create and maintain a professional operation and control of storeroom inventories. A procedural approach to managing the entire onboard Inventory Team must be employed, utilizing modern management principles as well as incorporating technological innovations where practical in order to ensure proper inventory management.
Essential Functions:
• Developing effective relationships and communicating with direct subordinates, Supervisor and Department Heads and Corporate Managers.
• Efficient, prompt and accurate overall Administration.
• Strategic inventory, financial, budget planning.
• Assist with the achievement of departmental financial budgets and targets.
• Open and proactive line of communication with shipboard and corporate management.
• Manage Inventory System with all associated responsibilities.
• Accurate and prompt reporting based on documentation requirement.
• Establish and enforce spot checks schedules, for F&B, Gift Shop, Salon, Photo and Medical.
• Preparing and submitting accounting documents as per documentation requirements.
• Providing general support to departments with regards to inventory, budget and ordering and requisitions.
• Support the Process of submitting orders, ultimate responsible for reviewing orders against budget and stock on hand.
• Generating all Count Sheets as per published inventory schedules.
• Fully responsible for creating new Item Numbers in the system.
• Fully responsible for performing Inventory Adjustments.
• Fully responsible for performing Inventory Spot checks.
• Fully responsible that all warehouse locations are inventoried, all discrepancies are investigated and adjusted accordingly.
• Controlling that all requisitions are posted the same day of issuing.
• Gives training to assigned crew with emphasis on personal safety, USPH standards and ship’s garbage separation procedures, keep the log of all the trainings done.
• Maintain and ensure that Public Health requirements are followed according to company standards and expectations (to US and Bahamas Sanitation) and followed at all times on board.

Dimensions:
• Must be trustworthy professional, can design and implement an inventory tracking system to optimize inventory control procedures.
• Must have a good rapport with different departments onboard as well as shoreside people who he/she deals with every day.
• Must demonstrate excellent organizational and problem solving skills and ability to analyze large amounts of data.
Nature and scope:
• Determination of economic order quantity, formulation of policy, determination of lead time, effectiveness towards running of store, organization structure, determination of safety stock are the main scopes of Inventory Control.
• Maintain a good working relationship and open communication with all departments.
Qualifications:
• Strong accounting skills required, preferably a college degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Inventory Management.
• Intermediate to Advanced level English Verbal and writing skills, including the proper use of English grammar.
• Competent understanding of basic computer programs. Windows, MS Word, Excel and preferably familiar with Navision Financials, AMOS, Crunch Time or Fidelio Inventory Programs.
Experience:
• At least 3 years’ experience as Inventory Controller/Manager in a well-recognized hospitality establishment or Cruise Line.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with high volume of food and beverage purchasing is required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience implementing and setting up food and beverage storerooms is required
