Children Animator (3 to 11 Years Old Kids) 

Location: On board international cruise ships (worldwide itineraries)
Start Date: Upon completion of mandatory onboarding and STCW training
Contract Type: Fixed-term contract (approximately 5 months +/- 1 month)
Working Hours: Full-time, shift-based schedule including weekends (8 to 11 hours daily
divided into 2–3 shifts)
Accommodation: Shared double cabin provided onboard
Travel & Meals: Fully covered by the company
Salary: Monthly Gross Salary €1,239 + Gross Monthly Bonus €225

2. Job Description

As a Children Animator, your role is to create a safe, engaging, and enjoyable
environment for children aged 3 to 11 years old during the cruise. You will organize
entertainment activities, encourage participation, and ensure children’s wellbeing
throughout all programs.

Key responsibilities include:

● Supervising and entertaining groups of children from different nationalities
● Organizing games, dancing sessions, and arts & crafts activities according to the
cruise entertainment program
● Ensuring compliance with company sanitation and safety procedures related to
children’s activities and club operations
● Managing emergency situations involving children quickly and professionally
according to company standards
● Preparing and organizing all required materials and equipment for activities in
advance
● Maintaining activity equipment and supplies to ensure proper usage and prevent
damage
● Assisting and supervising activities at the Rope Garden Park when available, following
specific training
● Contributing actively to a strong onboard safety culture and following all company
safety procedures and policies

3. Requirements / The Ideal Candidate Should Have:

● Secondary school diploma in Pedagogy, Education, or a related field
● Minimum 3 months of experience working with children in environments such as
babysitting, kindergarten, resorts, or similar
● English language proficiency at B2 level minimum
● German language proficiency at B1 level minimum
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills
● Energetic, creative, and patient personality
● Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment
● Responsible and safety-oriented mindset
● Availability to live and work onboard for the full contract duration
● Willingness to complete the mandatory STCW safety training (approximately 10 days
in the passport country before embarkation)
