SHOPPING CONSULTANT 

Turn your sales experience into unforgettable guest experiences while working onboard an international cruise ship.

We are looking for a confident and customer-focused Shopping Consultant who enjoys sales, building relationships and working towards commercial targets.

Depending on the ship's needs, the position may involve working across several onboard departments or focusing on one specific area, such as land experiences.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build strong relationships with guests and understand their needs
• Recommend products, services and experiences through consultative selling
• Use cross-selling and up-selling techniques to maximize sales
• Present products and experiences in an engaging and convincing way
• Handle objections and confidently close sales
• Work towards individual and departmental sales targets
• Support onboard teams in achieving commercial goals
• Participate in sales and revenue meetings and contribute ideas for business growth
• Maintain high standards of customer service, professionalism and safety

REQUIREMENTS

• Secondary school diploma or degree in tourism, languages, humanities or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in sales or retail, ideally with experience in cross-selling, up-selling or revenue-focused roles
• Excellent English – C1 level
• Two additional languages at minimum B2 level from: Italian, French, German or Spanish
• Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Customer-oriented and confident when speaking with guests
• Results-driven and motivated by sales targets
• Positive, proactive and resilient attitude
• Comfortable working with different teams and in an international environment

Previous cruise ship or international experience is an advantage.

SALARY & BENEFITS

• Gross monthly salary: €2,791
• Variable bonus: up to €1,050 gross/month upon achieving 100% of the sales target
• Full-time, fixed-term onboard contract
