Linen Keeper for Mitsui Ocean Cruises

V.Ships Leisure is looking for Linen Keeper on behalf of Mitsui Ocean Cruises.

The Linen keeper primarily focuses on maintaining a sufficient stock of all hotel supplies, linens and throughout various areas, contributing to a positive guest experience and the overall efficiency of housekeeping operations. 

Key Responsibilities

• Focuses on managing and maintaining an accurate inventory of all linens on the cruise ship. 
• Inspects linens for cleanliness, wear, and tear, emphasizing maintaining high standards for guest satisfaction. 
• Collaborates with housekeeping and other departments to meet the linen needs of different ship areas. 
• May promote sustainability goals related to linen usage and waste reduction.
• Responds to guest requests for additional or special linens, ensuring prompt and courteous service. 
• Maintains an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all linens onboard, including bed linens, towels, tablecloths, and other textiles. 
• Monitors stock levels and reorder to ensure an adequate supply for all ship areas. 
• Implements procedures to address quality issues, such as stains or damages, and coordinate with the laundry department for corrective actions. 
• Coordinates the efficient distribution of clean linens to various cruise ship areas, including guest cabins, dining venues, lounges, and public spaces.  
• Implements strategies to minimize linen waste, considering responsible handling and storage practices. 
• Maintains accurate documentation of linen-related activities, including inventory counts, distribution records, and quality assessments. 
• Prepares regular reports for management on linen usage, stock levels, and any issues that require attention. 
• Ensures that guest preferences regarding linen types or special requests are accommodated when possible. 
• Works closely with the laundry department to ensure a smooth flow of linens for cleaning and timely return to circulation. 
• Collaborates with relevant departments to troubleshoot and find solutions to linen-related challenges. Address and resolve any issues related to linen quality, availability, or distribution. 
• Ensures compliance with safety and hygiene standards in the handling and distributing linens. 
• Addresses any guest concerns related to linens promptly and professionally.

V.Ships Leisure has been appointed as ship manager and is currently recruiting deck and engine crew to serve on MITSUI OCEAN FUJI.
