As Spa Manager, you will be responsible for the leadership and overall daily operation of the Spa, Salon, Gym, and Retail areas. This includes team supervision, guest satisfaction, adherence to company policies and maritime compliance, and the achievement of revenue and service quality targets. The Spa Manager acts as the key liaison between onboard operations and corporate management, ensuring communication, efficiency, and excellence in all aspects of spa services.

Essential Functions:
• Oversee all operations of the Spa, Salon, Gym, and Retail areas.
• Monitor appointment schedules and staff productivity to ensure targets are met.
• Train, coach, supervise, and evaluate spa staff to maintain service standards.
• Maintain and submit daily reports to the corporate office.
• Manage opening and closing of the spa per SOPs.
• Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and equipment functionality across all spa areas.
• Uphold and enforce compliance with USPH, MLC 2006, and company procedures.
• Lead and participate in departmental meetings and onboard safety drills.
• Handle guest feedback, complaints, and special requests professionally.
• Drive spa promotions and guest engagement initiatives.
• Manage the front desk: greet guests, answer phones, schedule appointments, and check guests in and out.
• Ensure POS dockets are completed correctly at the end of each guest service.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate records for bookings, consultations, and transactions.
• Monitor and support retail operations including merchandising, stock tracking, and sales performance.
• Oversee cleanliness, organization, and mechanical readiness of the spa and reception areas.
• Ensure SOPs, health standards, and safety protocols are consistently upheld.
• Maintain thorough understanding of all offered services and products.
• Educate guests on home care and promote retail products to support sales goals.
• Care for spa and salon equipment properly and monitor product usage for cost control.
• Maintain product displays and assist with retail merchandising in the spa and salon area.
• Ensure completion of spa logs, sanitation reports, and compliance records.
• Develop spa treatment protocols and oversee staff adherence.
• Maintain confidentiality of staff records and manage scheduling and rest logs.
• Support shipboard and corporate marketing strategies.
• Implement performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions when needed.
• Conduct facility walkthroughs to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are upheld.
• Coordinate with other departments for seamless guest service delivery.
• Attend all leadership meetings and represent the spa in onboard operations discussions.
• Conduct training and coaching sessions.
• Facilitate team meetings and contribute to team communication and morale.
• Promote spa services, retail, and wellness programs actively.
• Maintain knowledge of all treatments, products, promotions, and packages.
• Support marketing initiatives and contribute to the achievement of sales targets.
• Monitor wet and relaxation areas, ensuring correct setup and high standards of cleanliness.
• Ensure lost and found procedures are followed in line with Margaritaville at Sea policy.
• Supervise and participate in inventory checks, stock rotation, and ordering of retail items.
• Provide accurate guest consultation details to therapists to ensure exceptional service.
• Attend team meetings, service training sessions, and mandatory safety drills.
• Implement and contribute ideas to improve service quality and revenue generation.


Stock & Inventory Responsibilities:
• Oversee accurate receiving, issuing, and recording of all inventory and stock.
• Prepare and review discrepancy reports and submit requisitions to purchasing.
• Record professional stock usage and spoilage daily.
• Conduct weekly stock-balancing and quarterly inventory counts.
• Maintain secure control and organization of all stock cupboards.
• Support internal and external audits, providing accurate and timely data.
• Perform weekly inspection of storage areas and ensure remedial actions where needed.


Compliance and Safety:
• Maintain accurate sanitation and cleaning logs.
• Ensure completion of all required logs and documentation.
• Monitor MLC compliance and staff work/rest hour records.
• Communicate and document all repair and maintenance needs.
• Ensure spa rules and regulations are followed and enforced.
• Follow and enforce company policies regarding hygiene, sterilization, and guest safety.
• Participate in mandatory emergency drills and training sessions.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe treatment areas and spa equipment.
• Understand and apply company environmental and safety protection policies.

Qualifications:
• Degree or diploma in beauty therapy, marketing, spa management, or hotel management.


Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in spa management.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Fidelio Cruise, and other relevant spa/hospitality software.
• Understanding of MLC 2006 and health & safety compliance.
• Strong understanding of spa industry products, treatments, and retail sales.
• Business acumen and experience in sales, marketing, and administration.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
