Refrigeration Engineer – Cruise Ship Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Refrigeration Engineer to join a leading cruise operator on a 10 weeks on / 10 weeks off rotation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level Refrigeration Engineer looking to develop their career in the cruise industry. We are specifically looking for candidates with a strong technical foundation through formal education, rather than solely onboard experience.

Package:

10 weeks on / 10 weeks off rotation
Single cabin
Base salary: USD $2,626 per month
Plus 1 day's vacation pay for every day worked, bringing total earnings to approximately USD $5,252 per rotation
Shipboard position

Requirements:

EPA Certification
F-Gas Certification
STCW III/4 Certificate of Competency (or willingness to obtain)
Formal training in air conditioning or mechanical refrigeration through a recognised trade school or college
Strong understanding of refrigeration and HVAC systems
Previous experience in refrigeration engineering

This role is ideally suited to someone early in their maritime career who is keen to build their experience within a supportive engineering team. Applicants with previous Chief Refrigeration Engineer experience or those seeking senior-level positions are unlikely to be the right fit.
