2. JOB SUMMARY

Explora are searching for a Sports Coach to join the team in a very exciting new position, responsible for the successful delivery of sports, activities and events on-board an industry-leading cruise ship. Explora are committed to delivering industry-leading activities and events, raising the standard of sports activities in the travel sector.

3. KEY TASKS

Responsibilities

• Leads and delivers high quality coaching to guests with varying abilities.

• Plans fun, engaging and safe tournaments and sessions to relevant age groups.

• Explains and enforces health and safety rules and regulations.

• Performs regular inventory and upkeep of all equipment and supplies.

• Performs regular health and safety checks of all sports facilities.

• Plans and coordinates the on-board schedule.

• Drives the creation, development and delivery of sports and activities for passengers.

• Monitors session insights, using feedback to drive a culture of improvement.

• Continuously evaluates processes and procedures and updates them where necessary to achieve maximum efficiencies.

• Supports the development of new products and ideas.

• Liaises with on-board representatives to optimise session delivery.

• MaintMaintains daily information, hours of operation, activities, etc. for the benefit of guests, adhering to ship requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

• Technical qualifications applicable to the role: Minimum Level 2 Tennis Coaching qualification; relevant degree or sports coaching qualifications desirable.

• Proven track record in coaching various sports and activities to a high standard.

• Experience in multi-tasking projects, ability to problem-solve.

• Language skills are desirable.

• IT skills such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, or Mac proficient.

Experience

• Minimum of two years' coaching experience.

• Management experience is desirable.

• Experience in the travel sector is desirable.

• Minimum age of 21 years.

 Salary

This is a self-employed role, $3,000 per month, accommodation, flights, food & laundry included.
