Youth Counselor (Seasonal)- Cruise Ship

We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, and caring Youth Counselor to join our onboard Youth Program team. In this role, you will create a fun, safe, and engaging environment for children and teenagers aged 3–17 years, delivering a variety of educational, recreational, and interactive activities throughout each voyage.

 Key Responsibilities

* Plan, organize, and facilitate engaging activities for children and teenagers aged 3–17 years.
* Deliver age-appropriate programs focused on arts, crafts, STEM, sports, games, family activities, and themed events.
* Ensure the safety, supervision, and wellbeing of all children participating in youth programs.
* Monitor children's activities and respond appropriately to conflicts, incidents, or emergencies.
* Assist children with daily routines, including meals, rest periods, and personal care where appropriate.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment by following all health, sanitation, and safety procedures.
* Participate in embarkation, safety drills, emergency procedures, and youth evacuation protocols.
* Promote youth activities to encourage guest participation and engagement.
* Support family programming, holiday events, babysitting services, and special onboard activities as required.
* Prepare activity materials, equipment, and supplies before each session.
* Maintain accurate attendance records and assist with administrative duties when required.
* Attend training sessions, meetings, and other work-related activities.

 Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Education, Recreation, Child Development, Early Childhood Education* or a related field.
* Minimum 1 year experience working with children or teenagers in camps, childcare centres, recreational programs, or similar environments.
* Experience planning and leading activities for large groups of children.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Energetic, creative, patient, and enthusiastic personality.
* Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural team.
* Comfortable speaking to groups and leading activities.
* Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
* Infant and Child CPR and First Aid certification is an advantage.
