Dental Assistant (Cruise) - Worldwide

Position Summary:

Provide chairside dental assistance for guests and crew, supporting the ship's dentist in routine and emergency dental care. Assist with clinical procedures, maintain dental records and equipment, ensure infection control, and support the Medical Center as part of the onboard healthcare team.

Qualifications:

Current, valid Dental Assistant license.
Degree or diploma in Dental Assisting.
Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in general dentistry.
Intermediate to advanced English communication skills.
Valid BLS certification.
Required onboarding documents: Dental Assistant diploma, professional license, BLS certificate, and employment history.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the dentist during examinations, treatments, and dental emergencies.
Prepare, clean, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
Record patient information accurately in the electronic medical record system.
Provide dental hygiene education and perform basic preventive care as directed.
Monitor patient vital signs and report abnormalities.
Maintain inventory of dental supplies, medications, and equipment.
Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, environmental, and confidentiality standards.
Complete required reports, documentation, and administrative duties.
Participate in emergency drills, onboard safety procedures, and provide support during medical emergencies.
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully operational dental clinic.

Available for emergency call-outs as needed.
Able to work in a multicultural environment with flexible schedules.
Professional appearance, excellent interpersonal skills, and strong customer service focus.
Able to work seven days a week as required onboard.
Physically capable of standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs (23 kg), and participating in emergency response procedures.
