Captain (Cruise) - French-speaking

Bernhard Schulte Cruise Services is seeking an experienced French-speaking Captain to join our passenger vessel fleet. This role requires a strong maritime leader capable of managing all aspects of vessel operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
Assume full command of the vessel and ensure the safety of all passengers, crew, and the environment.
Oversee navigational, operational, security, and emergency response activities.
Ensure compliance with all applicable international, flag state, and company regulations.
Lead and develop a multicultural crew, promoting a strong safety culture and professional working environment.
Liaise effectively with owners, shore management, port authorities, and other stakeholders.
Drive operational excellence while maintaining exceptional service standards.

Requirements
Valid Master Unlimited Certificate of Competency (STCW II/2).
Previous command experience on cruise ships, expedition vessels, luxury passenger vessels, ferries, or similar passenger ships.
Comprehensive knowledge of SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM, ISPS, MLC, and STCW requirements.
Fluency in both French and English is mandatory.
Excellent leadership, communication, and people-management skills.
Experience working with multinational crews and international operations.
Strong decision-making abilities and a proactive, hands-on leadership approach.
