We are currently recruiting at our company headquarters in Rostock, Hamburg or fully remote in Germany.

Your chartered goal

• Ensure 24/7 availability of a global business-critical application: You are responsible for the 24/7 operations for the Global Crew Management System of 6 Carnival Brands; System is used on > 60 ships and 6 Carnival Brands for Crew Planning and Payroll
• Implement, own and continuously improve Incident, Problem and Change Management processes oriented on ITIL standards and in close cooperation with user organizations as well as Software Delivery Organizations
• Coordinate service providers and internal teams for helpdesk, infrastructure, and application support.
• Oversee monitoring and performance optimization of the application and related infrastructure (Cloud, Containers, CI/CD pipelines)
• Ensure compliance and security, including regular audits (SOX) and disaster recovery testing
• Stakeholder management: Collaborate closely with business units, software delivery teams, and external partners
• Manage budget and resource planning for operational activities

Your previous ports of call

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent
• Experience Dynatrace for application monitoring and performance tuning
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) for project and pipeline management
• Several years of experience as an IT Operations Manager / Applications Manager for Business-critical IT-Applications
• Strong knowledge of ITIL, ServiceNow, JIRA, Azure DevOps and Confluence
• Expertise in Cloud and container technologies (e.g., Kubernetes) and CI/CD processes including VM provisioning
• Excellent communication and leadership skills; fluent in English (German is a plus)
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to make quick decisions under pressure
• Strong customer and service orientation
