Disc Jockey (DJ) & Activities Staff

We are seeking an energetic, outgoing, and experienced *Disc Jockey (DJ) & Activities Staff professional to join  onboard entertainment team. This role combines exceptional DJ skills with engaging guest hosting, delivering unforgettable entertainment experiences throughout the voyage.

The successful candidate will host interactive activities, game shows, karaoke, themed events, sports programs, and social gatherings while creating outstanding musical experiences in lounges, pool areas, nightclubs, and other onboard venues. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about entertainment, music, and providing world-class guest service in an international luxury hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

 Entertainment & Guest Activities:

* Host a variety of daytime and evening entertainment, including:

* Trivia and game shows
* Karaoke
* Theme nights
* Poolside activities
* Social events
* Interactive guest experiences
* Deliver confident and engaging microphone presentations and announcements.
* Organize and facilitate onboard sports activities.
* Assist in planning, promoting, and executing entertainment programs.
* Support family programming and supervise children's and teens' activities when required.
* Host dining tables and engage with guests to enhance their onboard experience.
* Collaborate with the entertainment team to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction.

DJ & Music Entertainment:

* Perform live DJ sets in lounges, clubs, pool decks, and other public venues.
* Create music playlists suited to guest demographics, themes, venues, and event atmosphere.
* Operate karaoke sessions and encourage guest participation.
* Set up, operate, maintain, and safely store DJ, sound, lighting, and karaoke equipment.
* Stay current with music trends while delivering music appropriate for a luxury guest experience.
* Independently set up and dismantle DJ equipment.

Guest Engagement:

* Maintain a friendly, approachable, and visible presence throughout the ship.
* Build positive relationships with guests through conversation and participation.
* Adapt entertainment styles and music selections based on guest preferences.
* Promote onboard events and encourage participation.
* Professionally handle guest requests and feedback.
* Maintain thorough knowledge of onboard venues, activities, and services.

Operational Support:

* Assist with event setup, logistics, crowd management, and venue preparation.
* Support embarkation, disembarkation, safety drills, and other operational duties.
* Maintain entertainment equipment, supplies, and inventory.
* Attend official ship functions, cocktail parties, sail-away events, and themed celebrations.
* Communicate effectively with entertainment management regarding guest feedback and operational updates.
* Assist with administrative duties and provide operational support as needed.

 Qualifications:

* Minimum 3–5 years of experience in entertainment, hospitality, nightlife, or luxury guest services.
* Professional DJ experience with strong knowledge of sound and lighting equipment.
* Bachelor's degree preferred.
* Physically and medically fit for shipboard employment.
* High level of integrity and professionalism.

Skills & Experience

* Excellent microphone and public speaking skills.
* Strong DJ and music programming experience.
* Broad knowledge of popular music across multiple genres.
* Ability to read audiences and adapt music accordingly.
* Experience with karaoke hosting.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* Comfortable working with guests from diverse cultural backgrounds.
* Positive attitude with a strong focus on teamwork and guest satisfaction.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and solve problems effectively.

 Language Requirements

* Fluent spoken and written English is required.
* Additional languages are considered an advantage.

Computer Skills

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
* Experience with hospitality or property management systems is an asset.
* Strong general computer skills.
