As a Shorex Manager, you will be responsible for the full operation, administration, and financial performance of the onboard Shore Excursion Department. This includes overseeing all aspects of tour sales, guest satisfaction, team leadership, and coordination with local tour operators. The manager ensures that all excursions and related services are delivered with the highest standard of service and professionalism while maximizing revenue and operational efficiency.

Essential Functions:
• Lead the Shore Excursion team in the daily operation of tour sales, dispatch, logistics, and guest relations.
• Oversee the administration and operation of the Fidelio/Cruise Manager system.
• Ensure department sales targets and guest satisfaction ratings are consistently met or exceeded.

Maintain open communication with local tour operators regarding logistics, capacity, and service standards.
• Review and approve all promotional materials, tour descriptions, and onboard advertising for accuracy.
• Coordinate and manage tender and port operations, ensuring safety and guest flow.
• Oversee excursion dispatch, transportation logistics, and escort assignments.
• Maintain strong presence at the Shorex desk and during operational hours.
• Manage departmental finances including revenue reporting, ticketing, inventory, and expense control.
• Handle guest complaints, service issues, and refunds with professionalism and discretion.
• Conduct team briefings, training, and performance evaluations.
• Prepare and submit reports to the Hotel Director and Shoreside management as required.
• Collaborate closely with other departments to enhance the overall guest experience.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed onboard revenue targets.
• Monitor and analyze sales performance, adjusting strategies as needed.
• Encourage continuous learning and professional growth within the team.

Additional Duties:
• Actively promote all onboard excursions, classes, and related offerings to guests.
• Evaluate guest feedback and implement service improvements based on insights.
• Organize and oversee onboard promotional events or presentations for excursions.
• Maintain professional relationships with tour operators and vendors.
• Contribute to itinerary planning and new tour development when requested.
• Supervise onboarding and cross-training of new team members.
• Support and manage disciplinary documentation when necessary.
• Suggest innovative ideas for improving guest engagement and increasing revenue.
• Maintain strong communication with shipboard leadership and shoreside management.

Qualifications:
• Degree or diploma in tourism, hospitality, or related field preferred.

Experience:
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the cruise, tourism, or hospitality industry
