We are seeking an experienced and motivated First Electrician to join our technical department onboard a modern cruise vessel.

The First Electrician is responsible for the supervision, maintenance, and repair of the ship's electrical systems and equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation of all electrical installations throughout the vessel. Relevant cruise vessel electrical positions typically require strong technical knowledge, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and STCW certification.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Chief Electrician in managing the vessel's electrical systems
Supervise and coordinate electrical maintenance activities
Carry out inspection, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment
Maintain power generation and distribution systems
Ensure proper operation of lighting, alarm, communication, and emergency systems
Diagnose electrical faults and implement corrective actions
Monitor compliance with safety, environmental, and company procedures
Train and mentor junior electrical personnel


Requirements
Previous experience as First Electrician
Experience onboard passenger vessels preferred
Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems, switchboards, motors, generators, and automation systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Good communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment
Good command of English


Required Certificates
STCW Basic Safety Training (BST)
Crowd Management Training
Relevant Electrical or Electro-Technical Qualification
Valid Seafarer's Medical Certificate
Seaman's Book
Valid Passport (minimum 6 months validity)
