Chief Electronic Engineer

HIRING: CHIEF ELECTRONIC ENGINEER – PASSENGER VESSEL 

We are currently seeking an experienced Chief Electronic Engineer for an excellent opportunity onboard a passenger vessel.

Rotation: 10 weeks on / 10 weeks off
Base Salary: $6,189 USD per month onboard
Vacation Pay: 1 day vacation pay for every 1 day worked
Total Monthly Package While Onboard: $12,378 USD
Accommodation: Single cabin
Joining: ASAP

Key Requirements:
• ETO certification
• High Voltage certification
• Relevant STCW 2010 certification
• GOC / GMDSS certification
• Strong experience with maritime electronic systems and equipment
• Appropriate Electronic Engineering qualification or equivalent technical certification
• Previous experience in a senior shipboard electronics position preferred

The Role

The Chief Electronic Engineer will manage the onboard electronic department and take technical responsibility for a wide range of electronic, communication, navigation, IT and entertainment systems.

Responsibilities include oversight and maintenance of:

Electronic and communication systems
GMDSS and emergency radio communications
Satellite communications
Bridge radar and navigation equipment
Servers, workstations, LAN and wireless networks
PBX, DECT, PA and UHF communication systems
CCTV and onboard safety/security systems
TVRO, broadcast, audio/video and entertainment systems
Cybersecurity compliance and best practices
AMOS maintenance administration, spare parts and departmental planning

You will work closely with the Chief Engineer, Chief Electrical Engineer, Staff Captain and shoreside technical/IT teams, while leading the Electronic Department and ensuring equipment is maintained to the highest standards of safety and operational reliability.

This position would suit an experienced maritime electronics professional who is comfortable taking ownership of a diverse and technically demanding onboard environment.
