Light Technician

Are you an experienced Light Technician with a passion for live entertainment and technical production? We are looking for a skilled and proactive Light Technician to join an international entertainment team onboard a cruise ship.

This is a behind-the-scenes technical role, supporting live shows, rehearsals and entertainment activities rather than working directly with guests.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up, operate and maintain lighting equipment for live shows, rehearsals and onboard events
• Operate lighting systems, including RGB and house lighting
• Provide technical support in theatres, lounges, pools and other entertainment venues
• Monitor equipment and report technical issues
• Assist with routine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Prepare and manage technical equipment and inventories
• Work closely with performers, artists and other entertainment team members
• Support the Entertainment Technical Manager with daily operations
• Follow all onboard safety procedures and technical standards
• Help ensure smooth and reliable technical operations during performances and events

REQUIREMENTS

• At least 1 year of experience as a Light Technician or in a similar technical/theatre role
• Experience in a theatre, live entertainment environment or onboard another cruise ship is highly preferred
• Good knowledge of GrandMA2 and/or GrandMA3 lighting consoles
• English at minimum B1 level
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and Word
• Strong technical and troubleshooting skills
• Detail-oriented, proactive and solution-focused approach
• Ability to work effectively as part of a large, international team
• Comfortable working closely with performers and other technical and entertainment teams

NICE TO HAVE

• Previous cruise ship experience
• Experience with audio and/or video systems
• Additional technical skills within the entertainment field

Candidates with experience in audio or video, in addition to lighting, are also welcome to apply. Depending on their background and experience, they may be considered for other technical positions within the onboard entertainment team.
