Responsibilities
As a Finance Director, you will be responsible for the completion of the Cash Report, ensuring that all revenues are accounted for and all expenses are paid in accordance to Company’s directives. Maintain internal accounting control of all onboard revenue
Essential Functions:
• Solely responsible for the security of the Company’s funds inside the safe. Ensure the safe is properly locked when the Accounting Office is vacant, as well as the location of safe key and its combination.
• Monitor Charge Purser’s work on reports for accuracy and timely submission. Ensure that all passengers have paid their accounts before the end of the cruise and assist in collection if necessary. Monitor functions of the machines inside the computer room, be aware of any problems that occur and report any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel for resolution
Check the revenue report submitted at the end of every voyage for accuracy.
• Responsible for payments of expenses such as payroll, concessionaire’s cash advances, gratuities, purchasing of supplies and other miscellaneous expenses. A voucher must be completed with the attachment of proof for expenses. A signature for the payee must be
obtained.
• All business made within the voyage, as well as monetary movement must be reported to the Chief Financial Officer. The Cash Report is to be prepared, signed, and submitted following each voyage to the office.
• Responsible for checking the travel documents of Non-US citizen. Passengers must have a valid expiration date and required visa to leave and re-enter the United States. Assist pier personnel with any other documentation.
• Assist Hotel Manger by performing desk duties, side duties, and other paper work when needed.
• Responsible for maintaining a log of the Crew Welfare Fund and all Vessel Fund transactions.
• Responsible for their area’s safety, cleanliness and operation.
• Attend all department meetings.
• Mandatory attendance at all assigned shipboard drills and emergency activities.
• Create and implement ideas that will generate/increase revenue and/or reduce costs to the company.

assigned by their supervisor or management
Qualifications:
• Strong responsibility and integrity in handling and safeguarding company funds, including secure management of safes, keys, and combinations.
• Proven capability to ensure compliance with travel documentation requirements for non‑U.S. citizens.
• Demonstrated reliability in supporting cross‑department operations, including hotel, accounting, and administrative functions.
• Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and adherence to company policies, procedures, and emergency protocols.
Experience:
• Oversight of all funds within the Accounting Office safe, ensuring proper security procedures at all times.
• Monitoring Charge Purser activities to ensure accurate and timely reporting, and assisting in passenger account collections.
• Managing and monitoring shipboard computer room functions, reporting malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
• Reviewing end‑of‑voyage revenue reports for accuracy and completeness
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Financial Management Skills: Proficient in handling cash, reconciling accounts, validating expenditures, and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to identify discrepancies in financial reports, documentation, and operational processes.
• Technical Awareness: Knowledge of computer room systems and ability to monitor equipment performance.
• Documentation & Compliance: Strong understanding of visa requirements, travel regulations, and passenger documentation verification.
• Administrative Competence: Skilled in completing paperwork, preparing reports, managing logs, and supporting departmental operations.
• Communication Skills: Ability to work closely with passengers, crew, management, and pier personnel—clear, professional, and service‑oriented.
• Problem‑Solving: Skilled at reporting issues promptly and assisting in resolving operational or financial discrepancies.
• Safety & Operations: Familiar with shipboard safety standards, drill procedures, and maintaining safe, clean work areas.
• Initiative & Innovation: Ability to create, propose, and implement revenue‑generating or cost‑saving ideas.
