Main Function

• To provide exceptional, personalized and discreet service to MSC Yacht Club Guests, anticipating their needs and ensuring a seamless and memorable luxury experience throughout their stay onboard.
• To act as an ambassador of MSC Cruises and the Yacht Club brand, delivering refined hospitality, personalized assistance and concierge-style services to the highest standards.

Qualifications

• Fluent in oral and written English (working & Safety language of the Company).
• Additional European language is an advantage (Italian, Portuguese, German, Spanish or French).
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a Butler, Valet, Personal Concierge or Supervising Waiter, preferably in a luxury hotel, resort or cruise ship.
• Relevant qualification or diploma in Hospitality, Hotel Management, Luxury Service or Butler training is an advantage.
• Extensive knowledge of luxury service etiquette, fine dining and premium beverages.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a natural ability to interact with an international clientele.
• Impeccable personal presentation, refined manners, discretion and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple Guest requests.
• Proven ability to anticipate Guest needs and provide proactive solutions.
• Ability to remain calm, professional and courteous when handling challenging situations or Guest complaints.
• Computer literacy and ability to use onboard systems and communication tools.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To act as a personal ambassador of MSC Cruises and provide a consistently high standard of personalized and professional service to MSC Yacht Club Guests.
2. To welcome Guests upon embarkation and assist them with their arrival, luggage and settling into their suites.
3. To introduce Guests to their suite and explain relevant facilities, services, controls, safety information and Yacht Club amenities.
4. To provide Guests with detailed information regarding onboard facilities, services, restaurants, entertainment, excursions, transportation and other available experiences.
5. To anticipate Guest needs by observing preferences, routines and requests and proactively providing appropriate assistance.
6. To provide concierge-style services, including arranging reservations, appointments, excursions and other Guest requests.
7. To assist Guests with restaurant and dining reservations and provide recommendations according to their preferences.
8. To assist with packing and unpacking luggage when requested and provide other personalized suite services.
9. To collect and return Guests' laundry and dry-cleaning and coordinate related services according to Company procedures.
10. To deliver amenities, gifts, flowers, newspapers, daily programs and other items to Guests according to Yacht Club standards.
11. To assist with special occasions and suite arrangements, including decorations and personalized Guest requests.
12. To provide or coordinate in-suite services and refreshments when required, maintaining the highest standards of presentation and discretion.
13. To handle Guest inquiries and complaints promptly, courteously and professionally, escalating matters to the Head Butler when required.
14. To communicate Guest preferences, requests and concerns accurately to the Head Butler and relevant onboard departments.
15. To assist Guests with disembarkation arrangements and special requests throughout the voyage.
16. To maintain the highest standards of personal appearance, grooming, etiquette and professional conduct at all times.
17. To maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding Guest information, preferences and personal matters.
18. To comply with all MSC Yacht Club Butler standards, Company policies, procedures, health and safety regulations.
19. To work closely with the Head Butler and other Yacht Club departments to ensure seamless and efficient Guest service.
20. To perform other duties related to the position as assigned by the Head Butler or Hotel Management.
