Yacht Club Junior Butler (English & German - speaking)

Main Function

• To assist the Butler and Head Butler in providing personalized, discreet and professional service to MSC Yacht Club Guests, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout the cruise.
• To support the smooth operation of the Yacht Club service by assisting with Guest requests, suite services, luggage, amenities and other personalized services according to Company standards.

Qualifications

• Fluent in oral and written English (working & Safety language of the Company).
• Additional European language is an advantage.
• Previous experience in luxury hospitality, hotel, restaurant, cruise ship or Guest service is preferred.
• Experience in Butler, Valet, Concierge or luxury hospitality service is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of hospitality standards, service etiquette and Guest care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Impeccable personal presentation, professional manners and positive attitude.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate and respond to Guest needs.
• Good organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multicultural team in a fast-paced environment.
• Discretion and ability to maintain Guest confidentiality at all times.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To assist the Butler and Head Butler in providing a high standard of personalized service to MSC Yacht Club Guests.
2. To assist with welcoming and escorting Guests and to provide support during embarkation and disembarkation.
3. To assist Guests with luggage, including handling, delivering and collecting luggage according to Company procedures.
4. To assist the Butler in maintaining suites in accordance with Yacht Club standards and ensuring that all Guest amenities are properly arranged and replenished.
5. To deliver amenities, gifts, flowers, newspapers, daily programs and other requested items to Guests.
6. To assist with in-suite services and refreshments when required, ensuring excellent presentation and attention to detail.
7. To assist with Guest requests, reservations, appointments, excursions and other concierge-related services under the direction of the Butler.
8. To provide Guests with information about onboard facilities, services, restaurants, entertainment and other activities when required.
9. To assist with special occasions and personalized suite arrangements according to Guest requests.
10. To collect and deliver laundry and dry-cleaning and assist with related Guest services in accordance with Company procedures.
11. To promptly communicate Guest requests, preferences or concerns to the Butler or Head Butler.
12. To assist in maintaining a clean, organized and welcoming environment within the Yacht Club Guest areas.
13. To anticipate Guest needs and provide proactive assistance whenever possible.
14. To handle Guest questions and requests courteously and professionally and refer complaints or complex matters to the Butler or Head Butler.
15. To maintain a high standard of personal grooming, appearance, etiquette and professional conduct at all times.
16. To maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding Guest information and personal matters.
17. To work cooperatively with the Butler team and other Yacht Club departments to ensure seamless Guest service.
18. To comply with all Company policies, procedures, health and safety regulations and MSC Yacht Club service standards.
19. To perform other duties related to the position as assigned by the Butler, Head Butler or Hotel Management.
