Main Function

• Yacht Club Restaurant Assistant Waiter assists the Waiter in providing professional and attentive food and beverage service in the MSC Yacht Club Restaurant and Buffet areas, ensuring an exceptional dining experience for Guests.
• Provides courteous, efficient and personalized service while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, grooming and hospitality. Supports the Waiter throughout breakfast, lunch and dinner service and contributes to creating a welcoming and luxurious environment for MSC Yacht Club Guests.

Qualifications

• Intermediate English with the ability to communicate clearly, politely and confidently with Guests.
• Ability to read and write English in order to understand and follow written procedures and service standards.
• Previous experience in food and beverage service, preferably in a high-end restaurant, luxury hotel or international cruise ship.
• Knowledge of Food Safety and HACCP standards.
• Passion for luxury hospitality and professional Guest service.
• Confident, well-groomed appearance with a warm, friendly and welcoming personality.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Guests of different ages and nationalities.
• Additional languages such as Italian, Spanish, French, Portuguese or German are considered an advantage.
• Ability to use electronic devices and restaurant order-taking systems.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assists the Waiter in the assigned station in the Yacht Club Restaurant, Buffet and outdoor pool areas.
2. Provides courteous, attentive and professional service to Guests at all times.
3. Offers and refills water, bread, butter and beverages according to service standards.
4. Assists Guests with seating and provides information about food and beverage services when required.
5. Maintains tables, chairs and service stations clean, organized and properly prepared throughout the service.
6. Delivers food and beverages from the galley to the Restaurant and returns used dishes, glassware and silverware to the appropriate areas.
7. Supports food and beverage service during breakfast, lunch and dinner in all assigned Yacht Club dining areas.
8. Follows established service sequences, hygiene procedures and instructions from the Waiter, Supervisors and Yacht Club Maitre D’Hôtel.
9. Handles restaurant equipment, order-taking devices and other electronic equipment with care.
10. Helps minimize food waste, breakage and loss while following company standards for food preservation and safety.
11. Responds to Guest requests promptly and courteously and reports any complaints or service issues to the appropriate Supervisor or Manager.
12. Maintains impeccable personal grooming and complies with all company safety, sanitation and hygiene standards.
